Family policies

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash we don't recognize, and bring them back after a full day without symptoms. If your child gets sick here, we call you right away so someone can come.

Drop-off and pickup

Every child is handed over at the door, to a person. We only release a child to the people you list in writing, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.

Late pickup

If a shift runs long, call or text before closing time and we'll work it out together. If pickup runs past 6:30 pm, we talk in person; the rule is in writing when you enroll.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Miss Rose cooks breakfast, lunch and two snacks in her kitchen, and the week's menu is by the door. Tell us about any allergy at the tour; once you enroll, we ask again in private. Families of babies bring the milk or formula and we feed each baby on their own schedule.

Naps and sleep

Babies sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib. Older children rest on mats in the nap corner, at the time each one needs.

Closures, holidays and when Miss Rose is out

We close on the holidays we give you in writing when you enroll. If Miss Rose is ill or has an appointment, Kerry, her daughter, cares for the group that day. If we ever have to close for weather, we text every family.

Leaving the program

We ask for two weeks' notice, by message or in person, before your child leaves the program.

Would you like to see the house?

Bring your questions to a tour and we'll go through them together.
