A day here

How a child spends the day at Peanut

The order stays the same, so children know what comes next. The time each child needs is theirs.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Early morning

Parents come in from the night shift or on their way to the morning one. Breakfast is on the table, and the first ones in get the rocker.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Mid-morning

Play at the kitchen table: play dough, paint and blocks. The babies have the play mat and Rose's lap.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Late morning

Out to the yard for the slide, the sandbox and the trike path, with a hat for sun and boots for rain.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Lunch

Everyone sits down together to something Miss Rose cooked that morning. Babies are fed in the rocker when they're ready.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Early afternoon

Rest time. Babies in their own cribs, older children on mats in the nap corner, a story for anyone who wants one.

  6. 06

    Step 6: Late afternoon

A snack, the art table with Kerry, and the porch if the weather allows. Then the doorbell: pickup.

Meals from the stove

Miss Rose cooks breakfast and lunch, and there are two snacks in between. The week's menu is by the door, and she'll tell you what she's cooking when you come for a tour.

  • Breakfast, lunch and two snacks

  • Babies are fed on their own schedule

  • Tell us about allergies at the tour
