Frequently asked questions
What ages do you take?
From 6 weeks to 5 years, in one mixed-age group in the house.
Can I see the house before I decide?
Yes. Book a tour and come with your child. It takes about half an hour and you can ask anything, including about the figures.
What does a day look like?
Arrival and breakfast, play at the kitchen table, the yard, lunch, naps, an afternoon snack and pickup. The A day here page has it all.
What does it mean that the home is licensed?
DECAL, Georgia's Department of Early Care and Learning, licensed this house as a family child care learning home. The license number is at the bottom of every page, and the Safety page explains it.
How many children are here at once?
Up to 6 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, with 1 adult. The board on the Safety page says the same.
How does tuition work?
It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the days. Miss Rose gives you the figures in writing at the tour. The Tuition page explains how it works.
I work shifts. Can you fit my hours?
We open at 6:00 am and close at 6:30 pm. The Programs page has full weeks, three long days and half days. Tell us your shift pattern at the tour and we'll see what fits.
What happens if Miss Rose is ill?
Kerry, her daughter, cares for the group on the days Rose is ill or has an appointment. You hear from us by text the same morning.
Who else is in the house?
Rose and Kerry are the only adults who care for the children. Visitors are welcome at the door, not in the group, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
Do you share photos of the children?
Only with your written permission, which you can change at any time. The Family policies page has our full answer.
How do I join the waitlist?
Tell us at the tour or write through the contact form. We call the family that has waited longest first when a place opens.
Would you like to see the house?
Book a tour and ask Miss Rose anything we haven't covered.
